Our farm began around 1800 when Samuel Rohrer built his residence on the land he farmed and operated Rohrer's Mill. The grist mill was powered by Little Antietam Creek that runs through the farm, and the mill served the local farmers who grew wheat, barley, oats and corn. The home and mill site are listed on the Maryland Historical Trust, and original structures include the brick farmhouse, ice house, bank barn, corn crib, and cooper's shop.
We raise Black Angus in a way that avoids anything unnatural, maximizes the fertile pastures on the farm, and treats our animals in a gentle and natural way. We tend a small herd and make our beef available on a first come, first serve basis.
We curate a unique collection of primitive antiques, furniture, and handmade crafts repurposed from early American and agricultural antiques. These treasures are available most weekends on the farm.
